Last week, Apple released iOS 11.1, which caused a peculiar bug for many users. When attempting to type an "i" character, autocorrect changed it to an "A" and a question mark. Apple ended up publishing a workaround, asking users to go into their Text Replacement settings and set up "i" as a shortcut.
But the good news is that you won"t have to live that way anymore, as the company has finally issued a real fix in iOS 11.1.1. If you"ve got a supported iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch, all that you need to do now is update your device.
There doesn"t seem to be much else in the way of fixes. Apple"s listing for security updates simply says that iOS 11.1.1 includes the same security content that iOS 11.1 did. Still, users are certainly going to be relieved that this is fixed.
If you"re on the iOS beta program - developer or public - the issue should have been fixed in the update that was made available earlier this week.
