Apple's iPad Air 2 successor rumored to offer 4K Display and up to 4GB RAM

iPad Pro

With the debut of the iPad Pro late last year, Apple unveiled a tablet that far surpassed any previous offering in both power, features and size. While details are still murky, it looks like Apple could be upping the ante on its upcoming iPad Air 2 successor with a better display and more RAM.

According to DigiTimes, General Interface Solution and TPK Holding will be supplying parts for the upcoming iPad that will offer a 4K display and up to 4GB RAM. While not much else is revealed, we did report earlier in the week that the iPad Air 2 successor could come with a quad speaker setup similar to the iPad Pro. If this is true, it looks like Apple"s upcoming tablet could end up being a smaller version of the iPad Pro.

Apple is rumored to be hosting an event in March that will reveal the latest iPad and also a new smaller iPhone dubbed the "iPhone 5se". While this has yet to be confirmed, we will no doubt hear more about this event in the coming month.
