If you look at the bottom left of this image, you can clearly see Apple"s own website confirming the iPhone 4S. You can see the link for yourself here.
By the looks of it, it would appear that Apple"s Japan entity took the wrapping paper off a bit too soon. The iPhone 4S would appear to be launching on 10/14 at 8:00AM according to this posting. This is for Japan, so it may be possible that the device is launching on a different date in other locations.
Apple"s event is set to kick off at 1PM EST/10AM PST where we will learn more about Apple"s upcoming iPhone plans.
