Apple's Mac Pro on sale tomorrow for $2999, keyboard and mouse not included

Apple has announced that its Mac Pro will go on sale, starting tomorrow, and it will cost you $2999 for the privilege of owning one of these machines. The Pro will ship with Intel’s latest Xeon processors, starts with 12Gb of RAM, and includes several high-end graphics options.

It goes without saying that if you are buying one of these machines; you are not looking for an economical powerhouse solution. These machines are compact and quiet with enough power under the hood to satisfy most users who need quality hardware for video processing and other process-intensive tasks.

The new Mac Pro deviates from its predecessors by ditching the tower for a new, cylindrical, design. The design is surely bold for a machine of this caliber and with any new layout, we will be curious to see if Apple was able to work out all of the initial kinks with the new design.

One thing to note, though, if you are preparing to plop down $2999+ for the Mac Pro (which you can order here by the way), it does not come with a keyboard or a mouse. While you could argue that anyone buying a Mac Pro likely already owns these peripherals, at $2999, margins must be slim if Apple is not willing to include these two basic items.
