In March, Apple resurrected its iPhone 6, which it originally launched in September 2014. The relaunched handset went on sale in some Asian markets, featuring identical specs to the original model, with the exception of its storage; while the iPhone 6 was previously sold with 16GB, 64GB and 128GB storage options, the "new" model is only available with 32GB.
Since then, Apple has also brought the device to the United States, and to some European countries, through select carrier partners. Now, the 32GB iPhone 6 has also been released in the United Kingdom.
The UK"s largest carrier, EE, is offering the handset at no upfront cost on 24-month plans priced from £35.49 a month. At that price, you"ll get 2GB of 4G data at up to 60Mbps, along with unlimited texts, 1000 minutes of talktime, and 3 months of BT Sport app access, as well as European roaming. The device is also available on a range of other plans, all of which include a free six-month Apple Music subscription.
However, independent retailer Carphone Warehouse is also offering the iPhone 6 at far lower prices, not only on EE, but also on other networks, including O2 and Vodafone. On O2, for example, you can get the 32GB iPhone 6 from Carphone Warehouse for £0 upfront on a two-year plan priced at £29 a month, including unlimited minutes and texts, and 6GB of 4G data. The retailer is also selling the handset for £399 SIM-free for use on any network.
Before you rush to buy it, though, don"t forget that the iPhone 6 is almost three years old now, and that makes it ancient in the fast-moving smartphone market. Since the iPhone 6 made its debut in 2014, Apple has launched the iPhone 6s and iPhone 7, and its next-gen handsets are now just a few months away.
