Apple's SIM-free iPhone X is now available in the U.S.

It has been a little over a month since the release of the iPhone X to retail channels, but it looks like Apple is finally making its unlocked model of the smartphone available through its website and physical stores.

If unfamiliar, the unlocked variant of the unit comes without any carrier restrictions, meaning that any SIM can be popped in from a supported wireless carrier. While there used to be heavy delays when ordering, the new model seems to have an abundance of stock, at the time of writing shipping times are being quoted for December 12 with Apple even giving the option to pick it up in-store same day for certain areas. Naturally, these quotes on time will vary by region and you"ll want to check with your ZIP code to see what timeframes are quoted for your area.

As far as pricing goes, it will cost the same as a carrier locked model, with the 64GB variant costing $999 and the 256GB variant costing $1,149. If interested, you can head to Apple"s website, but if you are on the fence about purchasing a thousand dollar smartphone, be sure to check out our review of the handset.
