ASUS investor report includes image of new Surface-like Windows 10 device

It took a while for Microsoft"s Surface devices to become a commercial success, but once the company found the right formula, the Surface line quickly grew in popularity, becoming another billion-dollar business for Microsoft. Many of its hardware partners have developed their own interpretations of that formula, and it seems that ASUS may be the latest to join the club.

As Notebook Italia spotted, a document published yesterday by ASUS, following its Q4 2015 Investor Conference, included a slide featuring an unannounced Surface-like device. The unnamed device appears to be part of the company"s push to increase sales of its 2-in-1s by 50% year-over-year by the end of 2016.

The device carries ASUS branding on both the front and rear, and also features both a kickstand and keyboard cover similar to Microsoft"s Surface range. The image appears to show two USB Type-A ports, and possibly a Type-C port below them, as well as a rear-facing camera.

The new Windows 10 tablet is shown alongside existing ASUS products, including one of its Flip notebooks and Transformer tablets. No further details are yet available about the new device, or when it might be unveiled.
