If you like Asus products and you want one slathered in the goodness of Windows 8, it looks like you will be able to get your hands on an EeePad running Windows 8 in Q3 2012 according to Asus (via Engadget).
The image above shows the plan Asus has for its EeePad series of products that includes Windows 8. While internal dates can often slip and Microsoft could delay Windows 8, it looks like Asus and Windows 8 will team up to release a product late next year in time for the holiday shopping season.
But, will these tablets be able to compete in a saturated market? While that verdict is still up in the air, more competition is always a good thing for the consumer.
Windows 8 will offer a unique opportunity to turn the tablet into a full fledged PC and do so in a way that is both intuitive and efficient. But, will this work in the marketplace and do consumer really want a do-it-all tablet? The answer to that question we will find out next year when these devices hit store shelves.
