AT&T doubles shared data plan options through new promotion

AT&T announced today that it will bring a new promotion aimed at higher data shared plans, which will increase available monthly data caps without raising prices. The new promotional family share plans double the monthly data allotment offered at various pricing tiers through AT&T without raising the monthly cost, meaning you can get more without paying more. Below is a quick list of the new tiers. The promotion is good from September 28 through October 31 and each price tier shown below includes unlimited talk and text for one family share plan.

  • 30GB for $130 per month (formerly 15GB)
  • 40GB for $150 per month (formerly 20GB)
  • 60GB for $225 per month (formerly 30GB)
  • 80GB for $300 per month (formerly 40GB)
  • 100GB for $375 per month (formerly 50GB)

As usual, adding extra phone lines to the plan will cost you extra. The promotion appears to mirror several promotions offered by competitors, such as T-Mobile and Verizon, in an effort to keep interest in current customers on top of bringing in new ones.
