AT&T launching HTC Desire 610 for $199 USD off-contract

After a minor lull in its release schedule, AT&T has made a comeback, offering two new affordable devices for the summer. The first device offered by AT&T this summer is the Lumia 635. The second release targets AT&T"s mid-range users by offering HTC’s latest handset, the Desire 610. HTC has been on a high note as of late, releasing the well-received HTC One M8 and posting profits for the first time in nearly a year.

The HTC Desire 610 incorporates some of the design elements and features of the HTC One M8, but packages it in a body using modest materials and offers it at an affordable price. The HTC Desire 610 will offer a 4.7” 480 x 854 display, a Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage with microSD expansion, 8MP camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, and 4G LTE.

Although not as sexy as its flagship counterpart, the HTC Desire 610 will offer dual front-facing speakers with BoomSound. The HTC Desire 610 will be available for order online and in stores on July 25, 2014. The device will have a off-contract price of $199.99 USD.
