Google released Android 4.4 KitKat on October 2013. The design of Android shifted to a cleaner and more polished look. A couple of notable features include, the introduction of a touchless search experience that allows users to just say “OK, Google Now”. This command can launch voice search, send text messages, get directions or even play a song. In Android 4.4, the new auto-hiding interface introduces a more immersive experience when watching a movie or reading a book by hiding the status bar and navigation buttons. Android 4.4 brings better overall optimizations that allow devices to run faster, smoother, and longer.
