AT&T unveils its affordable Fusion 5G smartphone, will be out January 7

The United States mobile carrier, AT&T, has announced that it’ll be launching the AT&T Fusion 5G on Friday, January 7. The company is pitching the device as future-proof thanks to its support for the latest generation of mobile connectivity while pointing out that it has an affordable price of $219.99 or $6.12 per month.

At that price point, you’re not going to get the greatest features but the specs are decent for what you’re paying. It comes with 64 GB of storage, a Quad 48 MP rear camera with dual LED flash that supports different modes including ultra-wide panoramic and portrait mode, and a 13 MP front-facing camera for taking selfies.

The display on the Fusion 5G is an HD+ display that comes in at 6.82” and is scratch resistant that will help to avoid distracting scuff marks. AT&T said the new phone has quick charging and wireless charging support but didn’t specify how big the battery is precisely.

Once the device launches on Friday, customers will be able to combine their purchase with one of AT&T’s Unlimited plans which start from $35 per month. You can find out more about the plans over on AT&T’s website but for a quick summary, they all include unlimited talk, text, and data as well as 6-months of Stadia Pro.
