Somewhere right now, Steve Ballmer is yelling “Lumia! Lumia! Lumia! 900! 900! 900!” as Microsoft, Nokia and AT&T start to unleash the marketing campaign to support the Lumia 900 launch. To that degree, AT&T has put out a new video on YouTube called “24 Hour Hands on with the Nokia Lumia 900”.
The advertisement, as the name suggests, shows a woman using her Lumia 900 during a typical 24 hour period complete with the alarm clock waking her up and then using the clapper to shut off the lights at the end of the day.
The advertisement stays away from throwing a spec sheet in front of your face and focuses on the device becoming an integral part of the daily grind. For what it’s worth, it is a solid advertisement for the Lumia 900 but at the same time, you don’t learn much about the phone, the OS, or even its price. But then again, that is most likely the point of this advertisement.
Check out the video below and let us know what you think. Is this a step in the right direction or are Microsoft and Nokia headed down the same path WebOS took with its cataclysmically bad advertising campaign?
