MSI has issued a recall order for its MAG CORELIQUID 240R and 360R all-in-one (AIO) coolers. The company probably received complaints from users who were unsatisfied with the cooler"s performance. After some investigating, MSI has determined that sediment build-up was the cause for this "abnormal heat dissipation" and hence will provide replacements to those users who are affected by the problem.
Recently, we have received feedback from some of our users that they have experienced a drop in heat dissipation efficiency when using the MAG CORELIQUID 240R / MAG CORELIQUID 360R liquid coolers.
Our preliminary investigation has identified that a small portion of the liquid coolers produce sediment that can cause a blockage.
[..] MSI cares deeply about our users’ overall experience and we simplified our processes to provide faster product replacement services.
To find out if you have an eligible product, you will need to enter your cooler"s serial number on the announcement page towards the bottom. You can also check temperatures too and MSI says that if idle temperatures are above 60°C with a properly seated cooler and thermal paste applied, then the product is probably eligible given how hot the thing is running. And in case your MAG CORELIQUID was part of a prebuilt, then the serial number of that desktop needs to be entered.
If your product is found eligible for the replacement then you"ll be led to an advanced RMA page. In case it does not load, you can also click on it manually.
