In 2012, the photo editing software developer Aviary launched an SDK for Windows Phone 7 devices, allowing third-party developers to add its software in their apps. Earlier this year, Aviary launched a similar SDK for Windows 8 apps and also launched its own free photo editing app of its own, joining its previously launched iOS and Android apps.
Today, the company launched its photo editing app made specifically for Windows Phone 8 devices. In a post on the Aviary blog, it states:
Photo Editor by Aviary comes with a host of visual creativity tools for Windows Phone users: including stunning effects / filters, cool stickers and many other photo-editing must-haves like crop, rotate and brighten. We made sure that the interface was completely simple, quick and intuitive so anyone can pick it up and make their photos look amazing in seconds.
The app also allows users to post photos on their Twitter and Facebook accounts and was designed specifically with Windows Phone 8 and the Modern UI in mind. The app is free to download for a limited time, but there"s no specific word on when the free download period will end.
