Awesome Games Done Quick raises $2.4 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation

Awesome Games Done Quick, the winter edition of the twice-yearly Games Done Quick events, came to a close last night. In total, the event raised $2.4 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation, an increase of $150,000 dollars over last year"s donations. The total amount marks a personal best for the charity event.

The seven-day event sees speedrunners from across the world attempting to beat speedrun records. In total, 132 games were attempted this year and the range of games spans everything from the early 1980s to the modern day.

The event was streamed on Twitch, and individual videos with attempts at different games have been uploaded.
