Azure Spring Cloud Enterprise now available for free preview

In June, support for Microsoft"s Azure Spring Cloud was added in the Azure Migration and Modernization Programme, a few months after Managed Virtual Network and Autoscale were made generally available for the platform as a service. Later, in September, Microsoft announced a new Enterprise tier for Spring Cloud with the new offering joining the already available Basic and Standard tiers.

Today, Azure Spring Cloud Enterprise has become available in preview for all customers. The managed service targets enterprise developers through commercial VMware Tanzu components that cater to flexible enterprise configuration and integration options. Deployment and management of Spring and polyglot applications through these components is a key feature, with provision of a high level of abstraction when it comes to the process of building these apps. Tanzu components available during preview include the Build Service, the Application Configuration Service, and the Service Registry.

In comparison to the Standard pricing tier"s 8-vCPU and 16 Gigabytes of memory, more processing power in the form of 16-vCPU and 32 Gigabytes of memory is being offered. Custom domains and blue/green deployment are currently unavailable, though it is likely that they will be available before the service hits general availability.

Those who are interested in checking out the preview version of Azure Spring Cloud Enterprise can sign up by filling this form.
