Rare confirmed today that Banjo-Tooie will release on April 30th, on Xbox 360 Live Arcade along with Tooie themed gamerpics. A price wasn"t announced but gamers can expect to pay a similar price as they did for the first game, 1200 Microsoft points ($14.99 USD, £10.20 GBP). Rare also released a theme on Xbox Live Marketplace last week for the game which costs 250 MSP ($3.12, £2.13).
"4J Studios" stellar port will be yours to own from Wednesday 29th April – exactly two weeks from now.
Set a reminder in your reminding appliance of choice, as it"s full to the brim with updates and tweaks from the original release, not least being a super-charged frame rate and some fully-featured Stop "N" Swoppery."
The first game was ported late last year in the run up to Rare"s new title in the franchise Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. It was also offered as a preorder bonus in some countries.
More recently with the preview for Banjo-Tooie"s dashboard theme, eagle eyed gamers spotted a game tile which closely resembles Joanna Dark from the first Perfect Dark game on the N64. Many rumours surround Rare and the possibility of releasing the game after they hit a road block with Goldeneye over licensing issues. However Perfect Dark belongs to Rare and wouldn"t have the same issues in being ported.
