Did you miss out on The Darkness II, or Team Bondi"s 1940s noire-inspired L.A. Noire? If you happen to be in possession of a sufficiently beefy connection, you could pick up some bargains from Amazon. You"ll need to be in the United States, and have a U.S. billing address if you want to make the most of the deals though.
L.A. Noire is currently retailing for $4.99 on PC. It is worth noting that the download is a simply massive 16GB, and it is the standard version instead of the complete version of the game. The complete version, with all of the additional downloadable cases, is still $30. If you want to get the complete version for a low price, you might like to avail yourself of the opportunity to buy the game and the DLC bundle separately for $11.99, which works out cheaper than actually buying them combined at once. For the price it couldn"t hurt, but customer reviews of the game give it a rating of 2/5, and the DLC has a rating of only 1/5.
The Darkness II is only $12.49, having dropped from its recommended retail price of $49.99. For a game that was released in the United States on February 7th, it"s a startling example of the speed at which a game can fall in price, and also of the benefit of waiting to buy. Players take on the role of Jackie Estacado, who returns from the original game, though now with a cel-shaded look ripped out of the comics from which the series originated.
