I usually avoid posting trailers, or movies of games in general. However, I will make an exception this time. Now alot of you know my current loathing of Battlefield 2, mainly due to EA"s wonderful patching history. Well regardless, Battlefield 2142 looks pretty good so far. I"ve described it as nothing more than a mod for Battlefield 2 previously, but after seeing this video, I think I changed my mind.
The video is 5:28 in length, and is completely in-game footage. It is showcasing the new gametype, and is impressive. As you watch, you will see many of the new vehicles shown, such as the new APC"s, the new "mechs", tanks and other weapons of mass destruction. The video shows the new defense shielding, EMP grenade working its magic and the active camo among other things. I can"t really describe everything in detail. Needless to say I"m pretty sure you will probably be as impressed as I was. There are two versions of the video, a high-res and a lower-res version. The high-res video is 140 mb and the lower-res video is about 56 mb. Now go forth soldier, and welcome to battle!
