Beam co-founder says it hasn't "had the time" to launch a Windows 10 Mobile app

When asked why Beam"s Universal Windows Platform app isn"t available on Windows 10 Mobile, co-founder Matt Salsamendi said that the company simply hasn"t had the time. It has an "ambitious roadmap", so the good news is that he"s not denying that there may be one planned.

@counterblow @Fabe56 This isn"t a problem with UWP. We have an ambitious roadmap and haven"t had the time to launch on W10M!

If you"re unfamiliar, Beam is a video game live-streaming service that Microsoft bought back in August. Since that time, Microsoft has confirmed that the service will be built into Windows 10, as well as Xbox One consoles. In fact, the feature is already in preview, including both built-in streaming and the Beam app.

Indeed, given the timeline of events so far and how much has been accomplished since August, the roadmap certainly does seem to be ambitious.

It"s worth noting, however, that expecting a Windows 10 Mobile app right now seems like a bit too much to ask. While it is available on iOS and Android, the Windows app is still in its infancy. It just launched to Preview Alpha Xbox Insiders on Friday, and you won"t even be able to find it in the Windows Store. If the firm is to launch a version for Microsoft"s mobile operating system, it seems logical that that would come later.
