When Lenovo debuted the Moto Z line last year, it also introduced a neat line of modular accessories dubbed Moto Mods. These accessories communicate using special pin connections on the phone and can add functionality like additional battery power and even provide an improved camera experience. Since that time, Moto Mods have been few and far between, but the firm has pledged that there will be 12 new Mods that will arrive this year.
What you see above is an idea for a Moto Mod that adds a physical keyboard to the Moto Z. The "Physical Keyboard Slider" Mod is an idea from Reddit user LivermoriumLtd and, although it is currently a concept, there is an Indiegogo campaign planned to bring it to production. While not many details are known, there is a post where questions about the device are being answered. For its initial run, the keyboard will be in English with plans to expand to other languages if the campaign is successful.
