Best Buy hints at possible Samsung Chromebook Plus

Just before CES 2017"s start, Best Buy has listed an apparently new Samsung Chromebook, named Chromebook Plus. From the images, it seems to feature a display around 12-inches and a full-metal body.

No information about its specifications were present with the images, according to Engadget. However, it"s possible to spot what seems to be a USB type-C port and an SD card reader, not to mention the possibly accompanying stylus.

The timing seems just right with Google pushing to improve the touchscreen capabilities of Chrome OS. It has recently added Android app compatibility to the OS and seems to be trying to take on the productivity-focused devices developed by Apple and Microsoft.

With declining sales of Android-powered tablets and the possibility of a Windows 10 x86 version running on ARM, Chrome OS may become Google"s best bet on the 2-in-1 productivity-focused market.

It is possible that Samsung may confirm and disclose more about the device at CES 2017, so stay tuned to our coverage from the show floor.
