Early this morning, those interested in the iPhone X began hammering Apple"s website, its Store app, and wireless carriers at a chance to purchase the device. While these are primary sources for smartphones, you can also go through big name retailers like Best Buy, Walmart, and others.
Although prices should be the same across the board since there is a manufacturer"s suggested retail price, that doesn"t prevent any merchant from jacking up or lowering the price, if they really wanted to... and it appears that Best Buy really wants to jack up the price of the iPhone X by $100. When you navigate to the company"s website, you can see that the 64GB model is priced at $1099.99, while the 256GB model is at $1,149.99.
According to Best Buy, this price discrepancy is intentional and it defended it by company spokeswoman, Danielle Schumann, who said:
“Our prices reflect the fact that no matter a customer’s desired plan or carrier, or whether a customer is on a business or personal plan, they are able to get a phone the way they want at Best Buy. Our customers have told us they want this flexibility and sometimes that has a cost.”
So, if you have the hankering to purchase the iPhone X and like the idea of "flexibility" be sure to head to the Best Buy website or to a retail location to pick up the latest iPhone.
