Although Gates no longer steers the ship that is Microsoft and has transitioned into a part-time role at the company as a technical advisor to current CEO Satya Nadella, he has been fairly open about his life in the past few years, investing in ambitious projects, and also making various social media appearances. While it did take quite some time, Gates has now managed to join one of the world"s largest social media platforms.
That"s right, the former Microsoft CEO and chairman has joined the photo sharing service, Instagram. On Friday, Gates posted his first image from Tanzania, located in Africa and as you might expect, he was off in the world trying to do some good.
Although it has only been a few days since the post, Gates has already managed to amass 200,000 followers. Bill Gates is the richest man in the world, sorry Bezos, but you probably won"t see him flashing his wealth on the photo and video sharing service. Instead, it will be a platform for him to share more about the things he cares about like his humanitarian efforts, that he and his wife have been championing over the past decade.
