For the second year in a row, founder and former Microsoft CEO Bill Gates has surprised a Redditor in the site"s yearly Secret Santa gift exchange.
Doing it in a classy yet charitable way, Bill did not only grant the lucky Redditor her wish, but also gave a generous donation in her name.
The lucky person"s name is Cali, who goes by the Reddit username Calid7. Not only did she get her wish, which was a Loki helmet, but also a book with pictures of Africa, a Giantmicrobes Polio virus stuffed toy, and most importantly, a donation in Cali"s name to Shot@Life, a program that provides vaccines to children residing in poor countries.
Calid7 described the whole thing in her own words:
The amazing human being Bill Gates sent me a Loki Helmet which i have been dying to own ever since the first Thor movie came out!! He read my "pie in the sky wish" that i filled out in my questionnaire and fulfilled it! I also got an amazing coffee table book of gorgeous pictures of Africa (somewhere i desperately want to go, its on my bucket list!) with an inscription and a Giant microbes polio virus stuffed animal!
She has also mentioned that though the delivered horn helmet came in cracked, she has stated that she will find a way to fix it.
Also, she seems to be really happy with the donation Bill made for her; she states:
He also made a donation to Shot@Life, and i can"t even begin to describe how incredible it makes me feel knowing that he made this donation in my name! I always donate what i can for charities, which is never much cause money is always extremely tight, it really makes me glow!
Last year, Bill Gates has surprised another Redditor named Rachel, who received a stuffed cow toy, a book on nature, and a donation to Heifer International, a non-profit organization helping eradicate poverty.
