Microsoft is constantly working to improve its Bing search service to help make it the best product on the web. To do this, the company is continuously tweaking and testing design layouts to enhance the end user experience and today, Microsoft is announcing another feature update.
When you search for images using Bing, you will likely notice the background is dimmer, there is a larger filmstrip and other enhancements that should make viewing images even easier. Microsoft notes the following updates to Bing’s image search:
· Dimmer background to make it easier to view images in high definition
· Larger filmstrip results to make viewing and browsing the images easier
· Full-screen mode to view favorite images up close
· Lightning fast loading speed to view the picture immediately
· Unique Page Snapshot preview to see if the webpage is helpful before clicking on it
The changes are now live on the site and should be available to all users;if you don’t see the update, try clearing your cache.
We fully expect Microsoft to keep tweaking and altering its design to provide the end user the best possible browsing experience as the company looks to differentiate itself from Google.
As Google and Bing continue to fight it out for search marketshare, look for both companies to keep pushing the boundaries on search features.
