Bing.com is known for its striking homepage images and animations that add extra flare to the search service. Every day, the search engine puts up a new image that we suspect draws many users to the site.
If you have been wanting to download the images for use on your own desktop, it looks like there is good news on the horizon. Neowin forum user, Dot Matrix, spotted the feature you see above on his homepage which allows you to download the wallpapers directly from Bing.
While the feature has not rolled out to everyone, or may simply be in testing at this time, if you are like us, you will welcome this small and simple addition to the service. Previously, the only way to get the backgrounds was to use a third-party service that would scrape the images each day.
We have pinged Microsoft to see if they are rolling this feature out to all users or if it is still in the testing phase. Microsoft has confirmed that they are testing the feature at the moment but has no further information to share.
Thanks for the tip Dot Matrix!
