If you love stats and are a webmaster, using the right set of tools to gain insight in to your data is critical. Bing has just announced a new update to their webmaster tools that will help you get a better understanding about the traffic that is flowing to your website.
The new update, called Phoenix, builds on the previous release last year, Honeybadger, and introduces a couple new features and enhancements to existing services. The three new services are Link Explorer, SEO Analyzer, and Keyword Research Tool:
·
Link Explorer: This tool allows webmasters to explore links associated with a particular domain. It may be applied to any domain they choose, and for each entered URL (one at a time), the tool will supply a list of known links pointing to that URL. ·
SEO Analyzer: With approximately 15 SEO best practices in place, this tool will scan any URL entered from one of a webmaster’s verified domains and build a report to let them know if the page scanned is in or out of compliance with each best practice. ·
Keyword Research Tool: Previously, webmasters were limited to a single keyword or phrase per request, but we’ve now expanded the limit to allow multiple entries (one per line) to run at the same time, helping speed up keyword research projects. We’ve also enabled the selection of multiple countries under a common language, so webmasters can perform research for the US, Canada and the UK, for example, under English.
These new tools are live today and will help to provide greater insight that should help you to make better informed decisions about your readers. You can learn more about these tools by heading over to the Bing blog with the source link below.
