Microsoft has been hard at work releasing Bing 2.0, and with that came a new Maps application with streetside views, improved bird-eye views of buildings in your city, but Bing has demonstrated a new type of driving directions, using video to map your driving trips around the city.
One of the researchers for MSN"s advanced engineering team, Billy Chen, showed off some of the cool new features users might see in future updates to Bing Maps. Billy Chen confirmed that they are planning on putting this into a shipping product and a mobile application.
The application uses the streetside images on Bing Maps, converting them into a video to show users route along their trip, even pointing out landmarks that will help drivers easily remember their route, preventing them from easily getting lost.
On10.net posted a video of some prototypes Bing has been experimenting with, including some features they will be adding to the driving directions.
