Black Friday 2011: More PC game download sales

Black Friday 2011 is today and today also means that a number of other PC game download sites have started their annual fall sales price cuts that will last through the weekend. We have already reported on price cuts via Steam, GamersGate and Amazon.com. Indeed you might want to check them again as they might have put in some additional price cuts.

Today the other major PC game download services join the fray. Direct2Drive makes it easy for people; everything in their library is on sale for 20 percent off if you put in the code "Doorbuster" at checkout. Over at GameStop"s Impulse web site, there are over 200 games with big price cuts that will last through the weekend.

EA"s Origin web site may be a newcomer to this business but the site is joining in the Black Friday sales experience. That includes sales of individual games such as Battlefield 3 and Need For Speed The Run ($29.99). Original also has bundles of games in genres like action/shooter, sports, and The Sims games in large discounts of up to 60 percent off.

The streaming PC game service OnLive not only has a ton of games on sale this weekend but you can play two games, Homefront and Red Faction Armageddon, for free for the weekend.

Finally, the GoG.com web site has a large number of classic PC games on sale from every genre on sale for 50 percent off their already normally low prices. Some are as low as $2.99.

If you are looking for some Android-based mobile games, then Gameloft is giving away some of its titles away for free this weekend and selling others for just 99 cents.
