Black Friday 2011 is getting closer. We have already told you about some deals to be found for games and game consoles, PC hardware and software products and PC desktops and laptops. Today we look at some Black Friday deals that can save you some money if you are wanting to get a new smartphone or tablet device.
Verizon Wireless - The nation"s biggest wireless carrier has plans to offer sales on both smartphones and tablets starting on Thanksgiving Day online and in stores on Black Friday. One is a new red color model of the Droid Incredible 2 which will be available for free with a $50 rebate in stores on Friday. You can also get the Motorola Xoom tablet for $199.99 on November 24-25 and 28 with a new two year contract.
AT&T - While AT&T is keeping details about its Black Friday sales a secret it is saying that all its Windows Phone-based devices will be on sale for just one penny on Saturday with a new two year contract. On Sunday, it will also offer a number of other smartphones for sale for just a penny, again with a two year contract.
Amazon Wireless - The web site is offering a large selection of smartphones, including some quite recent models, from Verizon, AT&T and Sprint for the price of just one penny until Monday with a new line and a two year contract. People who buy smartphones from this deal that also have a wireless hotspot feature can get an extra $100 Amazon gift card if they activate this feature.
Blackberry Playbook - Research in Motion"s seven inch tablet device is now being sold for a limited time for just $199, a big price cut compared to its normal $499 price range.
Nook Color - While Barnes and Noble"s eReader/tablets is still priced at $199, a number of retailers like Target, Radio Shack and Staples are offering people gift cards ranging from $20 to $30 if they purchase the Nook Color.
Apple products - Apple will hold its Black Friday sale in its retail stores as usual. It"s the only time that the company actually cuts prices on a number of items including iPad, iPod and Macs. A number of other retailers like Radio Shack, Target and others will sell iPads and iPods on Black Friday with the offer of gift cards for their stores as an incentive.
