Black Friday 2011: Steam and other PC game download sales

Black Friday 2011 may start in two days but PC gamers can start saving tons of money right now. A number of PC game download sites have started huge sales that will last until Monday, with new deals every day.

Steam - Valve"s PC game download service has launched its Autumn sales event today with nearly every game in its library getting at least some kind of price cut. PC games can save even more money if they purchase bundle deals collected by publishers and genres. Valve has a number of extra price cuts from now until 1 pm Eastern time Thursday including recent releases such as Orcs Must Die ($3.74),  Renegade Ops ($7.49) and Portal 2 ($10.19).

GamersGate - The download site has launched its Thanksgiving sale with big discounts on a number of recent PC game titles. They include Bulletstorm ($7.98), Darkspore ($7.98), and Homefront ($14.98).

Amazon - The online retailer is letting people save at least 50 percent off a list of PC game titles from now until Monday. If you love a good casual PC game, Amazon is selling over 300 of them on its web site for just $1.99 each as part of its download sales event.

Other PC game download sites such as GameStop"s Impulse, EA"s Origin and GameFly"s Direct2Drive are holding off launching their major sales event until Black Friday 2011 actually starts.
