The first details on the next Call of Duty: Black Ops map pack have leaked via GAME Australia. As reported by Destructoid, the next map pack, dubbed the "Escalation Pack," will feature five new maps and is set to be released in just under a month on May 3. The information has since been pulled from the retailer"s website.
As usual, there are four multiplayer maps in the upcoming downloadable content, as well as one zombie map. Zoo, Hotel, Convoy and Stockpile are the names of the Escalation Pack"s multiplayer maps, and "Call of the Dead" is the title of the brand-new zombie map.
The downloadable content will first launch on Xbox Live as part of the three year exclusivity deal between Activision and Microsoft, announced at last year"s Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles. It will arrive on the PlayStation 3 and PC afterwards. The map pack will carry a price tag of 1200 Microsoft Points, or $15.
First Strike, the initial downloadable content to be released for Call of Duty: Black Ops, was made available back in February on the Xbox 360. It was followed a month later on the PlayStation 3 and PC.
