It was towards the beginning of the year when Black Shark Technologies revealed its first gaming smartphone. While those in China have had the chance to purchase the handset for quite some time, many outside of the country have yet to see the unit for themselves. It looks like that could all change very soon, as a global version of the Black Shark Technologies website has been uncovered with the words "SHARKS APPROACHING" and "Unleashing Soon".
For now, there isn"t much showing on the website but there is an image of the gaming smartphone and also an area where you can enter your email address to be notified when the site goes live. If unfamiliar with the device, it features a 5.99-inch 18:9 IPS FHD+ LCD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, and can be purchased with either 6GB or 8GB RAM. The 6GB model has 64GB of internal storage, while the 8GB RAM model has 128GB of internal storage. The phone will also make use of a special internal cooling apparatus and will provide long battery life as a result of its 4,000mAh battery.
The Black Shark phone also has a set of speakers and a dual camera system on the rear that makes use of a 12 MP sensor with an aperture of f/1.75 and also a 20 MP sensor with an f/1.75 aperture. The front-facing camera comes in at 20MP and has an aperture of f/2.2. Since this is a gaming phone, the firm will also include a Gamepad that will have physical controls, along with a 340mAh battery.
It is unknown just how much this phone will cost, but hopefully, it will come in at a steal, as the phone"s retail price at launch was ¥2,999 ($477) for the 6GB RAM version and ¥3,499 ($556) for the 8GB RAM model.
