ASRock, who is a Radeon exclusive AIB partner, had registered for trademarking multiple ASRock graphics card models (via @KOMACHI_ENSAKA) at the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) towards the end of last month. The filing was published today and among the products is the presence of AMD"s upcoming Radeon RX 6700 series and RX 6600 XT ASRock models some of which, at least, will end up as retail versions. Although the filing doesn"t tell us anything about core specifications like Compute Units count (outside of the few leaks previously), core clocks, etc., we do get a pretty clear idea of the amount of memory these things could pack.
Both the XT models, the Radeon RX 6700 XT and 6600 XT, seem to pack 12GB of VRAM while the RX 6700 non-XT model appears to have only 6GB. A practice like this isn"t new from AMD as the previous-gen RX 5600 XT had 2GB less VRAM than the slower 8GB 5500 XT variant. The presence of 12 or 6GB VRAM also indicates the RX 6700 series and the 6600 series will likely feature a 192-bit wide memory interface and possibly 96MB of on-die Infinity cache, although we can"t tell anything about the memory clock speeds.
Alongside the existence of the RX 6700 and RX 6600 series models, the filing also has a few RDNA1 RX 5700 XTs, and Polaris RX 570 and 580 models which are based on fourth-gen GCN. The presence of new RX 5700 XTs and RX 500 series models in 2021 could be indicating the lack of any lower-end RX 6000 GPUs anytime soon, and a similar situation might also be true for Nvidia.
