Earlier this week, a game developer reported its Windows RT game had performed poorly since its launch, although they were later contacted by Microsoft and recanted their statements.
This week, a business app developer named Extended Results posted up word that its PUSHBI Windows 8 app has done well since its launch five weeks ago. The free app, which works with both Windows 8 and RT devices, gives businesses a way to view their company information and stats on the go. The company says, "Similar to monitoring the financial markets on TV, with renewed clarity, you can focus on the metrics that matter most to you."
In a post on its blogĀ regarding the Extended Results app, the company said it had been happy with its performance on the Windows Store:
Since the launch of our title, we have had over 2,500 downloads. That is not too bad for an Enterprise business application. And I can share this, we made WAY MORE than $83 bucks on it ... We have seen an extra 15 to 20 new business leads a week because of Windows 8. We are seeing tremendous business traffic with Windows 8 that is for sure.
Extended Results, which based in Microsoft"s home town of Redmond, Washington, has also released versions of PUSHBI in the past for Windows 7 and Vista, along with iOS, Android, Windows Phone 7 and Blackberry devices. However, the company does seem rather impressed with Windows 8.
In fact, an earlier blog post showed how the PUSHBI app can work in "snap view" so users can check on their business work while also playing Angry Birds Star Wars at the same time.
