With Ubisoft announcing The Division 2 earlier today, it"s now Activision"s turn to reveal a sequel. Leaving behind the Second World War, this year"s Call of Duty will be Black Ops 4. The shooter is being developed by the series regular studio Treyarch, and interestingly it will be skipping a usual November release that Call of Duty games usually follow, with this one arriving in October.
The brand new teaser trailer that Activision released today is seen above, with plenty of quick cuts and flashing parts. Although gathering specific details from the teaser may be difficult, judging by the short flash of an undead and the wailing sound byte, zombies are pretty much confirmed to make a comeback.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is slated to launch on October 12 and the publisher confirmed that it will arrive for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, with a full unveiling planned for May 17. However, with regards to the platforms, a new Nintendo Direct presentation is imminent, which may mean an announcement of a Nintendo Switch version could be incoming.
