Treyarch, is one of the two development groups that work on the Call of Duty franchise and whilst some of its games such as Call of Duty: World at War may ring a bell, we do not believe we could have predicted the amount of praise that Black Ops endured. It was one of the more refreshing entries in the franchise that we’d seen in a long time, but it looks like it won"t be the last.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II has just been revealed and is a sequel to the 2010 released original. The game is set in the near-future, so we"re hoping to see some new original gameplay mechanics in some places. The reveal does a good job at giving off the impression that the franchise is in for more changes in an attempt to re-innovate the first-person shooter genre. The trailer also showcases some of the things we’ll see when it launches in November and also reveals how much more cinematic the game will be. From what we can see the narrative for the game is sounding a lot sharper so hopefully, the storyline is just as pleasantly refreshing.
The trailer can be seen below.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II will be released on the 13th of November 2012 and pre-orders have now begun taking place.
