Call of Duty Black Ops fans who didn"t get the Hardened or Prestige versions of the first person shooter will soon be able to get access to the Zombie levels that were included as a bonus for those versions of the game. Publisher Activision Blizzard has announced plans to release a new DLC pack Rezurrection (and yes, it"s supposed to be spelled like that) for the Xbox 360 console on August 23. The pack will be released for the PS3 and PC versions at a later date.
The pack will include the four zombie levels that were first made for developer Treyarch"s 2008 shooter Call of Duty World at War (Nacht der Untoten, Verruckt, Shi No Numa and Der Riese) and were remade for Call of Duty: Black Ops for owners of the Hardened and Prestige versions of the game. The pack also contains three new Zombies music tracks and an all new Zombies level, Moon. This level takes the zombie threat to outer space as players fight off the undead in a low gravity lunar setting. The map will contain all new weapons and other content. Owners of the Hardened and Prestige versions of Call of Duty Black Ops that have already got the four older Zombie maps installed will get the new Moon map at no additional cost. Everyone else will pay 1200 Microsoft points (about $15) to get the Rezurrection DLC pack.
In related news, there will be a double XP multiplayer weekend for all Call of Duty Black Ops players on Labor Day weekend September 2-5.
