Call of Duty Mobile logs 100 million downloads in launch week, breaking records

The analyst firm, Sensor Tower, has announced that Call of Duty Mobile has been downloaded more than 100 million times worldwide in its first week of availability. According to the analyst, the game has seen the most downloads in its first week of availability, beating PUBG Mobile and Fortnite.

Call of Duty Mobile was most downloaded on iOS where it was downloaded around 56.9 million times which represents 55.7% of the total. On Android, there were 45.3 million unique downloads which represent 44.3% of the total. Spending on iOS was also the largest with $9.1 million (53%) in revenues being recorded, while Android users spent $8.3 million (47%).

The countries with the most downloads of the game were the United States (17.3 million downloads, 16.9% of the total downloads), India (13.7 million downloads or 13.4%), and Brazil (7.1 million downloads or 7%). India dropped off the list when it came to spending; players in the U.S. were the biggest spenders ($7.6 million or 43.1% of overall gross), Japan came in second ($2.4 million or 13.7), and Brazil maintained third place ($848,000 or 4.8%).

The spending on Call of Duty Mobile also outdid spending in PUBG and Fortnite. PUBG didn’t monetise the game initially but when it began to it earned $600,000 in the first week. Meanwhile, Fortnite managed to generate around $2.3 million from the iOS App Store alone.
