Hot on the heels of yesterdays findings of what Apple will call its next generation iPhones, which are claimed to be the iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X, developer Steven Troughton-Smith has now revealed even more specs found deep in iOS 11 code. According to the procured information, the range topping "X" will max out at 3GB RAM, and that all variants will get a 12MP rear shooter.
As you can see above, the RAM count included in the standard iPhone 8 is claimed not to change from last year"s iPhone 7 (2GB), or that of the iPhone 7 Plus, which has 3GB of RAM.
Troughton-Smith also claimed in an additional tweet that the iPhone 8/iPhone X will have a 12MP rear camera that will be capable of 4K video recording at 60fps and 1080p video at 240fps. The front-facing shooter will apparently be 7MP and capable of recording 1080p video at 30fps.
The iPhone X is believed to be Apple’s bezel-less, premium option which features an all-new design, a finer OLED screen, better cameras, and 3D facial recognition unlocking. Meanwhile, the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are the successors to the current iPhone models and will feature faster processors and LCD displays.
Of course, for now these claims should be taken with a pinch of salt, we"ll know the full story tomorrow once Apple finally puts all the speculation to rest. The event will take place at the new Apple campus in the Steve Jobs Theater on September 12, at 10am Pacific Time.
