CARRION set to release July 23 on PC, Xbox One, Switch, and in Game Pass

During this year"s E3 replacement digital showcase, Devolver Digital showcased a number of games, among which was Phobia Game Studio"s horror title CARRION. You can see the launch trailer above.

Unlike other titles in the genre, in CARRION you are the horror, meaning you get to play as an amorphous creature that will be "stalking and consuming those that imprisoned you."

For those that are looking forward to the release, Devolver has announced that the game will be coming out on Xbox One, PC, as well as on the Nintendo Switch on July 23, which just so happens to be the date of the Xbox Games Showcase. Adding yet another bit of interest to the reveal was a surprise guest appearance from Xbox head Phil Spencer, who shared the fact that CARRION will be debuting day one on Game Pass.

While there is a free demo available on Steam, the publisher has stated that you can discover what Phobia Game Studio"s title can offer via the Devolverland Expo spoof game. The blurb of it reads:

Devolverland Expo is a first-person "marketing simulator" set within an abandoned convention center after the annual Devolver Digital game expo was mysteriously canceled. Break into the convention center and avoid the advanced security systems to watch and retrieve all the trailers, gameplay demo videos, and other secrets lost in the expo"s cancellation.

Devolver Expo is free and lets you check a look at all of the games shown during today"s Devolver Direct, including Shadow Warrior 3.
