Chase Support says it won't be coming to Microsoft Wallet until next year

Chase killed off its Windows Phone app - Chase Mobile - back in January, 2015, so you might have been a bit surprised that when Microsoft launched a new version of Wallet with tap-to-pay in June of this year, the bank was listed as "coming soon". Fifth Third Bank and US Bank were also listed as coming soon, and US Bank is the only one of the three that currently supports the platform.

According to the @ChaseSupport Twitter account, support for one of the most popular banks in the US is not coming until next year.

@im_thatoneguy Hello, we plan to support Microsoft Wallet next year. Please follow us for updates. ^MM

It"s important to note that while this did come from Chase, it should be taken with little more than a grain of salt. In most cases, support teams don"t have the most up-to-date information. Still, there are less than three months until 2017 and the bank is listed as coming soon, so it seems plausible.

In order to use Microsoft Wallet"s tap-to-pay feature, you"ll need a supported phone. According to Microsoft, that includes the Lumia 650, 950, and 950 XL, but if you want to find the full list, the site seems to send the user through an endless loop of links.
