Amazon has announced that it’ll have more than 120,000 jobs across the US this Christmas. Workers are needed to man the fulfillment centers, sorting centers, and the customer service sites. While many of the jobs will only be seasonal, the company plans to transition some workers into regular full-time employees, to work throughout the year.
The Senior Vice President of Global Customer Fulfillment, Dave Clark, said:
“We prepare year round for the holidays and we’re excited to hire for over 120,000 positions this season to help delight our customers. We look forward to welcoming back holiday employees who return year-after-year to Amazon and welcome new faces to the team, many of whom will continue on with regular, full-time roles with the company after the holidays.”
The seasonal jobs are being offered in Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.
Anyone looking to apply will join 125,000 full-time employees across 75 fulfillment centers around the country to help pick, pack, and ship customers’ seasonal gifts. Anyone interested should head over to the Amazon Peak Jobs website.
