Google has released the latest version of its Chrome browser for Windows, Linux and macOS, and there"s an added bonus for owners of some Apple notebooks.
Chrome 60 is the first stable release of the browser to include support for the Touch Bar, which features on some of Apple"s MacBook Pro line. Google originally began testing Touch Bar support through its beta and developer channels with Chrome 58, but it"s now generally available to all users.
Users can also customize the layout of controls on the Touch Bar by going to View > Customize Touch Bar from the Menu bar in the app. You can choose to implement the "standard" layout, which includes back/forward, refresh, home, search/URL and favorites buttons; or you can tweak the layout with other buttons, including those that control additional hardware features, such as screen brightness or volume.
