Chuwi"s UBook made its debut earlier in the month and is now available through Kickstarter. The tablet with a kickstand will be priced starting at $349.
If you"re unfamiliar with the UBook, it will have an 11.6-inch 1080p IPS display and will be powered by an Intel Core m3 2.20Ghz processor and 8GB DDR4 RAM. As far as internal storage goes, backers will have the option of either 128GB or 1TB. While maintaining a slim profile of just 9mm, it will still offer a variety of ports that will include: two USB 3.0 ports, USB Type-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a power port, and Micro HDMI.
Despite its slim profile, the device is estimated to provide up to 9.5 hours of battery life on a single charge. Chuwi will also offer some accessories with the UBook, like a keyboard and stylus, that should be able to transform it into a productivity machine. The firm will include these if it meets certain stretch goals of the campaign.
The UBook is now available through Kickstarter with a starting price of $349 for the 128GB model and $699 for the 1TB variant. You can participate in the crowdfunding campaign by following the link in the source.
