After the Green Cities expansion made its way to Cities: Skylines Console Edition in January, Paradox Interactive has now pushed out the Parklife expansion for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The city-building title"s console release is slowly catching up to the PC version"s gallery of expansions, which received Parklife back in April 2018.
Using this expansion"s new park area tool, console players are now able to designate sections of their land as Park Districts. These areas can then be filled up with "amusement parks, nature reserves, city parks and zoos" among other buildings that follow the newly arriving paths. Props can also be placed anywhere inside Park Districts, without needing a road or path connection.
There are also new city and park policies, and the annoying empty spaces between buildings can now be filled in with parks and gardens using a special tool in this expansion. Meanwhile, the free update to the base game that, as always, dropped with the expansion has a new "tourism panel, trees that reduce noise pollution, a camera mode upgrade, new tourist models, and more."
The Parklife expansion is now available as a standalone purchase on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 with a $14.99 price tag. It is also a part of Cities: Skylines" second season pass, which will deliver three full expansions and four other DLC packs in 2019. Beyond that, Paradox is offering two new radio stations as a separate $7.99 purchase. Radio Pack 2 pack comes with Country Road Radio and All That Jazz stations.
