Microsoft has opened registrations for its Build 2017 developer conference, which will be held in Seattle from May 10 to 12. The cost of attending the event will be $2,195 per person, the same price as Build 2016. You will need either a Microsoft account or a LinkedIn account to be able to register.
In previous years, tickets for the event have sold out quickly, so make sure that if you"re planning to attend, you don"t waste any time signing up.
"In the coming weeks," Microsoft says, "we’ll share more on the opportunity for developers to deliver experiences to people as they collaborate in Microsoft Teams. And on March 7, we’ll celebrate a new generation of Visual Studio 2017 designed to help developers build on any platform, for any platform, using nearly any language."
Microsoft says that Build 2017 will include details for developers on:
- Mixed-reality experiences
- Cutting edge, intelligent cloud apps
- Simplified end-to-end dev ops experiences
- Mobile experiences for nearly any device
- Apps that make your customers more productive
- AI-powered apps we have yet to imagine
We"re also likely to hear at least some of what Microsoft has planned for its Windows 10 Redstone 3 update, which is expected to arrive towards the end of the year, following the rollout of the Creators Update in the next couple of months.
