505 Games and Remedy Entertainment have announced a collective new version of the wildly popular action-adventure title Control called the Ultimate Edition. Up until now, the game was only available on PC through the Epic Games Store. However, the new edition of Control will also be making its way to Steam, leaving Epic Games exclusivity on the PC platform.
A launch date of August 27, 2020, has been announced for the Steam release of Control Ultimate Edition. Meanwhile, the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will get the new edition of the game two weeks later on September 10, 2020. Unfortunately, physical copies will be sold later on at the end of 2020.

A few months ago, it was revealed that Control would be making its way to next-gen consoles. Today 505 Games provided more clarity on the matter by appointing release windows for the game"s ultimate edition for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The digital release has been slated for the end of this year while the physical launch has been scheduled for early 2021.
In addition to the base game, Control Ultimate Edition is set to include all the added content and expansion packs that have been released for it so far including The Foundation and AWE. As for the price, customers can expect to pay $39.99/£34.99/€39.99 for the ultimate edition of the game. Additionally, those who purchase it for current-gen consoles will automatically receive the optimised next-gen version for free.
